- on Thursday (25/8/22), in Padua at Complesso Beato Pellegrino, Via Vendramini 13 , from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
This desk will be extremely busy at peak times, so please leave plenty of time to collect your pack before the start of your session. Please ensure you leave time to collect your pack as you must collect your pack before attending any element of the ICBS.
Amongst various gadgets and souvenirs, your pack contains 3 extremely important objects: your name badge, one FFP2 mask (mandatory on public transport), maps & plans of the locations.
Name Badges: your ICBS name badge is your pass to the ICBS and must be worn at all times. For security reasons, delegates who are not wearing their name badges may be refused admission to ICBS sessions. PLEASE NOTICE that you will need your name badge to access all the venues: every time you enter a compound your name badge will be checked.

ABSTRACT FAQ
The call for papers ended on April 15 2021 for free communications, posters, thematic sessions of free communications, and on May 15 2021 for round tables. Therefore, it is not possible to submit new proposals.
We do not foresee any publication of the abstracts as a printed volume. The abstracts will be published as an open-access e-book.
It will be possible to upload abstracts up to April 30, 2022. You will receive a link to access the webpage. Kindly note that abstracts for Round Tables, Thematic Sessions, Free Communications, and Posters must be approximately 600 characters long. Each participant must upload his or her abstract in its final version: the abstracts will then be proofread and revised for consistency, if necessary, by the editors of the Proceedings. No further interventions, final approval and correction of drafts by the authors are foreseen. The abstract must provide a clear and separate summary of the paper to be presented at the Congress. It must not contain any footnotes or bibliographical references. The abstract must provide a succinct presentation of the contents, aim, and methodology of the paper, along with any other information useful to define its focus.

The Congress will be held at the San Giobbe Campus of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, which is located near Venice “Santa Lucia” railway station. On one day (Thursday 25 August 2022) the Congress will be taking place in Padua. Please contact incoming@byzcongress2022.org for further enquiry.
Not necessarily. Padua is roughly 30 minutes away from Venice by train. The Congress will be taking place in Padua only on one day (Thursday 25 August 2022), so it will be possible to commute there. Please contact incoming@byzcongress2022.org for further enquiry.
